Respect has been highlighted as an issue with young people, and mutual respect is something that is expected in Bridgend Youth Offending Team.
To fully explore this issue, an art competition was held with young people painting their poster style interpretation of the meaning of the word 'Respect' on canvas. The competition was held in conjunction with the Bridgend Community Safety Partnership and also contributed to their Respect agenda. Each entry showed talent and some exceptional ideas, with the two joint winners displaying thought and creativity.
Several of the canvases were displayed in Bridgend County Borough Council Civic Offices at the launch of the schools ASBO Young People Today campaign, and the winners received vouchers to use locally.
