During the week of 21st-25th may 2007, Coychurch primary school and local
PCSO ROB NEWMAN, in partnership with Simon Ladbrooke BCBC Road safety
Officer took part in a "walk to school" week.
The children and parents met at the White horse pub in Coychurch. The children were all given high
visibility jackets and taught basic road safety skills such as how to cross the road safely, they were even live on Bridge fm screaming as loud as they could.
PCSO ROB NEWMAN continues.....
Walk to school is a fantastic initiative to be involved with. Walk to school promotes healthy living and keeping fit, but also teaches the children essential road safety skills which will stay with them for life.
It will also ease congestion outside the school making it a safer place for the school children and local community.
