Safer Bridgend goes Radio GAGA

Every Tuesday morning at 10.20am from 10th August, Deborah Elward, Safer Bridgend Crime Reduction Tactical Advisor will be chatting to Lee on a range of community safety issues. Topics already discussed have included home burglary and car crime and have raised awareness that there is much we can do to make our homes secure and reduce our chances of becoming a victim of the passing opportunist thief.

Deborah Elward said “Bridge FM is the county’s most popular local radio station and the Lee Jukes breakfast show is the most popular show. This is a fantastic opportunity for us to reach out to a wide audience with community safety information and reassurance messages.”

“We really want to remind people that the county borough of Bridgend is a safe place to live, work and visit with steadily reducing crime figures. In fact, recorded crime is currently at a 20 year low across the force area.”

Rebecca Williams, Safer Bridgend Communications and Partnership Officer said, “By working together we can ensure that crime continues to fall across the whole of Bridgend. We would encourage people to tune in to Bridge FM at 10.20am every Tuesday to hear about the simple steps which people can take to further reduce their chances of becoming a victim of crime.”
