The Oldcastle Neighbourhood Policing Team in Bridgend is running a series of mobile crime prevention clinics at the town’s major supermarkets offering a wide range of advice to the public on crime prevention.
The officers are using the Safer Bridgend Crime prevention trailer and locating it in a prominent position outside the store where they can meet shoppers and talk to them about home security, autocrime and personal safety issues.
The information available will provide information on various aspects of crime prevention advice and focus on a range issues connected with the run up to Christmas.
PCSO Christian Freeth, who is co-ordinating the events said: “In the run-up to Christmas the Crime Prevention clinics will be located at different places in Bridgend’s main shopping areas including Tesco, Asda and in the town centre.
“We are available to any member of the public who wants to come along for advice or even just to meet us for a chat.”
