Targeting motoring offences in Pencoed

The Pencoed Neighbourhood Policing Team will be conducting a number of operations over the next few weeks, to target motoring offences, including driving without wearing a seatbelt, using a mobile phone, and speeding.

Pencoed Neighbourhood Beat Officer PC Sam Beaumont stated “The operations will focus on preventing motoring offences in the first instance through educating drivers on road safety issues, and where necessary will include enforcement, with penalty notices being issued to offenders. Drivers are advised to drive sensibly at all times to ensure that the roads throughout Pencoed remain safe, and become even safer.”

Community members with any information on motoring offences are urged to contact Bridgend Police Station on 01656 655 555, or to call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.

Alternatively community members with information on motoring offences can approach officers on the beat, or inform their Neighbourhood Policing Team via upcoming Partners and Communities Together (PACT) meetings, with meeting dates being available from www.saferbridgend.org.uk, and clicking on the PACT Information link.
