Substance Misuse Awareness Session

A Substance Misuse Awareness Session will be held on Wednesday 28th March 2007, at the Wildmill Community Centre, commencing at 19:00.

The session is being held by Substance Misuse Training and Prevention

Co - ordinator Claire Fauvel (from the National Public Health Service), with the aim of raising substance misuse awareness, providing advice and guidance, appeals for community information on drug related activity, along with the promotion of Crimestoppers.

The session has been organised in response to community concerns, with drug misuse having been identified as a priority for partnership action in recent Wildmill PACT meetings, and community members are urged to attend the session.

Community members with any information on drug related offences are urged to contact Bridgend Police Station on 01656 655 555, or to call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.

Alternatively community members with information on drug related offences can approach officers on the beat, or inform their Neighbourhood Policing Team via upcoming Partners and Communities Together (PACT) meetings, with meeting dates being available from www.saferbridgend.org.uk, and clicking on the PACT Information link.

Community Partners will be holding the next Wildmill PACT meeting on Thursday 5th April 2007, commencing at 18:30, at Wildmill Community Centre.
