Second wave of drug raids successful - The results

Rat on a Rat Poster

Wednesday saw the second wave of dawn raids take place within the Borough which resulted in a good success for the ongoing ‘rat on a rat’ campaign.

Warrants were carried out at Maesteg, Wildmill, Sarn, Pyle and Bridgend.

Supt. Tim Jones, Bridgend Divisional commander stated that “this continued success is a clear example of how we are responding to the community and their needs. We carry out these operations to make a difference, and I hope that the community will see that as a result of their courage to put forward information, they can see the results and feel reassured.”

Much of the below success has come as a result of a successful partnership with the Princess of Wales Hospital and their support in the police being able to conduct intimate searches for controlled drugs for persons who swallow or conceal drugs within their person, also known as ‘packers and swallowers’.
