Pen Y Fai fete a success

On Thursday 19th June PCSO Chris Bowen and PCSO Martin Trask attended Penyfai Primary School in the afternoon for their Annual Fete.

Earlier in the week Pcso Bowen made arrangements for the mobile caravan from PC Steve Gorwill to be delivered to the school and children's booklets and pencils and small teddy bears and reflective GLOW teddy bears were donated by the Safer Bridgend partnership and the Childrens information service.

Councillor Meryl Wilkins opened the fete by cutting the big red ribbon that was across the school gates.

The afternoon was full of mum's and dad's with their children, they all came to the caravan for a chat and for some child safety advice on cycle smart, road safety, all the activity booklets were given to the older children whilst the teddy bears and pencils did not last long with the young one's.

A very good afternoon was had by all except the teachers in the stocks having water filled objects thrown at them.
