Operation Turtle and Operation Stealth a success in Porthcawl

Porthcawl Neighbourhood Policing Team conducted Operation ‘Turtle’ on the 7th of October 2008 this entailed numerous Drugs warrants being executed in the Porthcawl sector.

A quantity of Heroin was recovered and persons have been charged to court for drugs offences.

The Operation was led by Pc Louise Morgan who stated “The Operation was a great success and added that drugs will not be tolerated in our area”.


Operation ‘Stealth’ was a parking operation in the Porthcawl area, targeting motorists committing parking offences.

This Operation was put into action due to numerous complaints by members of the public and the issue being highlighted in several PACT meetings, Commenting on how Motorists are flaunting the offences in front of Police with no action being taken against them.

Operation ‘Stealth’ ran on Sunday the 5th October and Monday the 6th of October 2008.

Over 100 Fixed penalties were issued over the two days for parking offences.

PcAndrew Purser who led the Operation stated “Motorists committing offences will be dealt with appropriately and always have been, he also reminds motorists to park in a legal and safe manner”.
