Community Partner Award 2007 for PCSO Prosser

PCSO Holly Prosser was invited to a presentation evening at Porthcawl Primary by the headmaster Mr Wood.

The evening is an annual awards ceremony for the students, recognising team work in sporting activites and personal Achievements.

PCSO Prosser was under the illusion she was invited to the evening to support students, staff and the community and she was completely unaware that they had planned an award for her as well. PCSO Prosser said '' it was totally unexpected and I was very shocked''.

PCSO Prosser received a Community Partner Award 2007.

PCSO Prosser would like to thank Porthcawl Primary for the award and it now takes centre place on her desk.

Thank you for recognising our efforts and hope to continue our partnership with school and police in the future.

This is Bridgend County Borough’s Community Cohesion Strategy for 2011 - 2014. It sets out our long-term strategic vision for integrated, inclusive and cohesive communities and includes an Action Plan that provides the framework for future activities in this area. The Strategy has been developed by Safer Bridgend in partnership with other public, private and voluntary sector bodies represented on the Local Service Board and with involvement of the wider community. We want everyone who lives or works in the County Borough to play their part in achieving our vision.

Your car may be at risk if you don't hide your keys

There has been a recent spate of dwelling burglaries in the borough where burglars are breaking into houses, taking the car keys and stealing the car and other posessions.

Home Fire Safety Checks

South Wales Fire and Rescue Services carries out approximately 6000 Home Fire Safety Checks and fit approximately 12000 smoke alarms in homes throughout the area each year.
