Sport hits the streets in rugby league festival

Wildmill, champions of the second street rugby festivals.

Youngsters took to the streets to compete in the boroughs second street rugby league festival of 2010. After the resounding success of the first tournament where 60 children from Caerau, Nantymoel, Sarn and Wildmill take part, teams once again made the trip to the Waterton ground in hope of being crowned champions.

Due to last minute problems Sarns team had to pull out of the tournament. Wildmill pulled out all the stops to claim the winners trophy.

The tournament was the second of four street rugby league events being held over the summer, with the next at the Waterton ground on Friday 20th August at 5.30pm.
