Police surgery for Newcastle ward

Neighbourhood policing teams across Bridgend are planning for next week’s Home Office initiative called Not in My Neighbourhood Week. The initiative is running throughout Wales and England and aimed at providing the public with information about local policing and greater reassurance.

The week begins in the Newcastle ward in Bridgend with a specially arranged police surgery, hosted by PCSO Christian Freeth.

The surgery will run between 9.00am and 4.00pm on Monday 2 November and be held at Llangewydd Road, opposite the post office.

PCSO Freeth said: “As part of the Not in My Neighbourhood initiative we will be offering a range of crime prevention advice both in terms of personal security as well as domestic and vehicle security.

“As well as providing helpful advice, we want to hear from as many members of the public as possible. We want to learn about their concerns and what worries they may have about the community they live and work in. We would also like to hear from them about what they think are the goods points about where they live so we can build on these for the future.”
