Alcohol seized from under age drinkers

Neighbourhood Police Officers in Bridgend have been clamping down on under age drinkers in the town. As part of a continuing effort to combat anti social behaviour, particularly in the Newbridge Fields area, officers have stepped up their patrols and have seized large quantities of alcohol.

Sergeant Mark Watkins said: “Underage drinking will not be tolerated in Bridgend, confiscations will be made and anyone responsible will receive an Anti Social Behaviour referral.

“They may also be arrested for being drunk and incapable. We will continue to police the area in and around Newbridge Fields aggressively and I would appeal to parents to be responsible in ensuring their children are not involved in this anti social activity.”
