Police in Porthcawl are urging surfers at Rest Bay to be careful with their property whilst riding the waves.

The Porthcawl Neighbourhood Policing Team are currently running two operations to crack down on vehicle theft in the Rest Bay area, after surfers have reported having their cars stolen by opportunist thieves.

Garw Valley Police Carry on Quest to Stop Speeding

The Garw Valley Neighbourhood Policing Team have once again been busy putting the brakes on speeding drivers in Pontycymmer and Blaengarw.

Autocrime drops in Bridgend

Latest annual figures released by the Home Office today (Thursday 16th July) show that car crime in Bridgend fell by 13.4 per cent in Bridgend County in the past year and detection rates for autocrime soared by an impressive 64.3 per cent in the same period.


Safer Bridgend Runs Crucial Crew

From Monday June 22nd – Friday July 3rd, the Safer Bridgend Community Safety Partnership ran the annual Crucial Crew event in the Safety Zone, Treforest.

Bridgend County Borough Mayor Jeff Tildesley officially opened the event with Bridgend Youth Mayor Lee Parker and Deputy Youth Mayor Liam Rose.

Caerau NPT recruited an army of helpers on June 18th when Blaencaerau Junior School pupils got suited and booted in high visibility gear to help officers raise awareness of the dangers of speeding.
