Help Stamp out crime in your local forests and countryside.

Following a successful 12 month pilot scheme in the Neath & Port Talbot area, Forestry Commission Wales and South Wales Police are rolling out the scheme into other areas of South Wales. Since the scheme came into force in Neath & Port Talbot Forest Watch members have provided the Forestry Commission and police with important information.

Operation Harbour nets drug arrest

The Aberkenfig Neighbourhood Policing Team arrested 1 female for possession of Heroin, during a drug warrant at an Ynysawdre property, as part of OperationHarbour.

Blaengarw junior school 'champs' at neighbourhood policing inter schools sports day

The Garw Valley Neighbourhood Policing Team has held a Sports Day, at the Garw Valley Leisure Centre, with competing squads from Betws, Cwmgarw, and BlaengarwJuniorSchools.


Dog owners in Coytrahen and Bryncethin advised to walk dogs responsibly

The Aberkenfig Neighbourhood Policing Team along with Enforcement Officer Marshall Greer has conducted a number of patrols throughout Coytrahen and Bryncethin to target the problem of dog fouling.


Community Partner Award 2007 for PCSO Prosser

PCSO Holly Prosser was invited to a presentation evening at Porthcawl Primary by the headmaster Mr Wood.

The evening is an annual awards ceremony for the students, recognising team work in sporting activites and personal Achievements.

Forestry commission Wales and South Wales Police have launched Forest Watch Scheme to fight crime

A new scheme aimed at putting the squeeze on criminals and making the south Wales forest a safer place for everyone to enjoy has been launched.

Police appeal to residents to secure their property

If you leave your doors or windows unlocked you could soon receive an early morning wake up call from Police officers. Thieves have been breaking into homes in the Maesteg area, gaining entry through unlocked doors and windows.

The Aberkenfig Neighbourhood Policing Team have conducted a number of PACT led operations throughout the month of June, including vehicle speed reduction operations, crime prevention activities, and an operation to target anti social behaviour.

Wildmill street sign design project

Local youngsters from Wildmill Youth Works have taken part in a street sign design project, with the aim of tackling excessive vehicle speed, through the Wildmill Housing Estate, in Bridgend.

Your car may be at risk if you don't hide your keys

There has been a recent spate of dwelling burglaries in the borough where burglars are breaking into houses, taking the car keys and stealing the car and other posessions.

Home Fire Safety Checks

South Wales Fire and Rescue Services carries out approximately 6000 Home Fire Safety Checks and fit approximately 12000 smoke alarms in homes throughout the area each year.
