| Targeting illegal vehicle trading in Porthcawl | |

A joint operation to tackle illegal vehicle trading has been carried at a number of locations in Bridgend County Borough. Among the areas targeted was the Esplanade and Sea Front at Porthcawl. The operation involved officers from Bridgend County Borough Council Trading Standards Service, Neighbourhood Policing Officers, and Vehicle Examiners from the Vehicle and Operator Services Agency (VOSA). |

The Neighbourhood Policing Teams from Maesteg and Bridgend have carried out an operation to target scrambler bike annoyance. The operation named Palmair, also involved the South Wales Police Off Road Unit, along with cross-divisional support from off road officers from the Neath Port Talbot Division. |

A Bridgend town centre kebab shop was refused extended trading hours at the first local appeal under the new licensing laws. |

| Blaengarw school pupils on Zig Zag Patrol | |

The pupils of Blaengarw Primary School, Bridgend, have this morning carried out a patrol aimed at stopping vehicles parking on the schools zig zag lines. The school council members, Demi Ward (aged 10), Emily Richards (aged 10), Cian Johns (aged 10), and Will Jones (aged 7), who carried out the patrol, were accompanied by Bridgend County Borough Council Road Safety Officer Simon Ladbrook. |
