For the next few weeks during the run up to Christmas, Bridgend Sector Police will be carrying out extra patrols in the Town Centre and the surrounding Retail Areas, targeting Auto Crime, Shoplifting and Pickpockets. |

The white ribbon campaign was launched today (Thursday, 27 November) to help tackle domestic violence in Bridgend County Borough. |

The Celtic Crusaders are backing a Bridgend County Borough Council-run campaign to tackle domestic violence. Members of the Crusaders’ development squad have agreed to wear a white ribbon which is the international symbol for the Eradication of Violence Against Woman. |

Operation Firefly was run by Police and partner agencies throughout the weekends of August to try to reduce anti-social behaviour throughout BridgendCounty. |

Porthcawl Neighbourhood Policing Team conducted Operation ‘Turtle’ on the 7th of October 2008 this entailed numerous Drugs warrants being executed in the Porthcawl sector. |

| Alleygates in Bridgend Town Centre | |

Alley gates have been installed in two recess areas in Elder Lane, Bridgend Town Centre. The funding was provided by the Community Safety Partnership and will be maintained by the Physical Regeneration Team of BCBC |

| New school PACT representatives | |

A meeting was held between Porthcawl Police officers and the school council for Porthcawl Comprehensive School to discuss issues that pupils may have and to make them aware of the PACT Meetings held in their areas. |
