| Deaf PACT Meeting for Bridgend | |

South Wales Police has teamed up with Bridgend Deaf Club to set up a series of Deaf PACT meetings in the town. The event will run the same way as any other PACT meeting, but a sign language expert from the Wales Interpretation and translation Service will attend as an interpreter giving attendees the chance to air their policing concerns. |

| Campaign tackles domestic violence ahead of Six Nations matches | |

On Thursday 31st January with the support of South Wales Police Minister for Communities and Local Government, Carl Sargeant, launched a campaign to tackle the increased levels of domestic abuse that occur around the time of major sporting events such as the Six Nations rugby tournament. |

| Police and landlords in Bridgend warn Christmas revellers to behave or be banned | |

Landlords in Bridgend are reminding revellers to be on their best behaviour over the busy festive period in order to ensure a good time is had by all. Participating landlords of the Bridgend Pubwatch scheme will be working closely with South Wales Police and Safer Bridgend over the Christmas period in order to keep the town’s pubs and clubs safe. |

| Plasnewydd School Fete | |

PCSO’s Kim Harris and David Johnson attended at Plasnewydd school fete. The fete was well attended by various police departments including the fire arm and dog sections, as well as the fire service and various other partners. There was also a special appearance by Tarian the dragon who was there to entertain the youngsters at the fete. |
