Crime Reduction - School Security

Your school is at the heart of your community, and this time of year they, are left empty, for a number of weeks. Leaving your school vulnerable to criminal damage, and youth annoyance.

Please help to protect your school. Keep an eye out for anything unusual.
If you see anyone carrying out building work at a school near you, contact 9 9 9 immediately. They may be trying to remove led, from the roof. The damage this can cause could run into thousands and affect the future of its pupils. Also, if you see youths hanging around the area contact 9 9 9 immediately.
Together we can keep our schools safe. Report anything unusual.

This is Bridgend County Borough’s Community Cohesion Strategy for 2011 - 2014. It sets out our long-term strategic vision for integrated, inclusive and cohesive communities and includes an Action Plan that provides the framework for future activities in this area. The Strategy has been developed by Safer Bridgend in partnership with other public, private and voluntary sector bodies represented on the Local Service Board and with involvement of the wider community. We want everyone who lives or works in the County Borough to play their part in achieving our vision.

Your car may be at risk if you don't hide your keys

There has been a recent spate of dwelling burglaries in the borough where burglars are breaking into houses, taking the car keys and stealing the car and other posessions.

Home Fire Safety Checks

South Wales Fire and Rescue Services carries out approximately 6000 Home Fire Safety Checks and fit approximately 12000 smoke alarms in homes throughout the area each year.
