Car parking

Follow these simple steps to protect your car .....

· Make sure you park in a well lit area.

· Lock all doors and windows.

· Don’t leave any items on view inside your vehicle.

· Use a steering wheel lock every time you leave your vehicle.

· Remove the stereo if you can

· Don’t keep valuables or important documents in the glovebox. Leave the glove box open to show there is nothing inside.

· Keep your car keys safe, even in your house so that someone breaking in cannot steal your car too.

· Tuck in wing mirrors and put the aerial down to discourage vandals

· When parking at home, always use your garage if you have one, and lock both your vehicle and your garage. If you don't have a garage, try to park in a well-lit, open place.

· On icy mornings, never leave your vehicle unattended with the engine running to warm it up or defrost the windows.

· When shopping don’t return to your car and leave any purchased items in the boot before continuing with your shopping trip. Thieves may be watching car parks for such a chance

Bridgend County Borough’s Community Cohesion Strategy for 2011 - 2014

This is Bridgend County Borough’s Community Cohesion Strategy for 2011 - 2014. It sets out our long-term strategic vision for integrated, inclusive and cohesive communities and includes an Action Plan that provides the framework for future activities in this area. The Strategy has been developed by Safer Bridgend in partnership with other public, private and voluntary sector bodies represented on the Local Service Board and with involvement of the wider community. We want everyone who lives or works in the County Borough to play their part in achieving our vision.
