Between the 22nd and 27th of September, a joint operation took place at the Bowls Hall Car Park at Bridgend Recreation Ground after intelligence was received from local residents about anti-social behaviour that was occurring in the area. |

| Youth get a say at Penyfai PACT | |

Penyfai PACT meetings have been given a breath of fresh air with the introduction of two new faces at the monthly meetings. Siobhan Foster, 16 and Natalie Davies, also 16 have started to attend the meetings to get their voices heard about issues that matter to them in their community. |

Ogmore Vale and Nantymoel have recently welcomed their own police rooms into the community. Having suffered from the closure of their Police Station 18 months ago, identity and focus in the community were lost leaving officers to deal with local issues from another station. However, now the boys in blue have taken residence right in the heart of both communities the benefits are true for all to see. |

The Garw Valley Neighbourhood Policing Team have conducted a vehicle crime enforcement operation, named Magma, resulting in 222 positive actions. The 48 hour operation involved high visibility foot and vehicle patrols throughout the GarwValley, with a focus on preventing vehicle related crime, along with enforcement towards any offenders. |

The Brackla Neighbourhood Policing Team will be holding an additional PACT Police Surgery, to be held every Tuesday afternoon between 13:00 and 15:00, at the Brackla Meadows Family and Neighbourhood Centre. The first of these afternoon surgeries will commence on Tuesday 24th October 2006. |

A joint operation to tackle illegal vehicle trading has been carried at a number of locations in Bridgend County Borough. Among the areas targeted was the Esplanade and Sea Front at Porthcawl. The operation involved officers from Bridgend County Borough Council Trading Standards Service, Neighbourhood Policing Officers, and Vehicle Examiners from the Vehicle and Operator Services Agency (VOSA). |

| Caerau Youth Centre | |
|
On Friday 21st of April, the new Youth Works building was finally opened on Heol Ceulanydd, Caerau Park in Maesteg. Thanks to a partnership with Valleys to Coast and Lovell, Youth Works were able to purchase the youth centre and provide youth diversionary activities that have never existed on Caerau Park before. |
